It's a bird and that was an urban legend story that was on a episode of TV Lands Urban Legend Stories. I saw that scene by the way when I watched that Urban Stories not to long ago.

No, as big a fan I am of conspiracy theories and cinematic scandals, this one has been disproved...and there is evidence in the movie if you actually look. While it's rumored that a muchkin did commit suicide on the set, it was not filmed in the actual movie -- the picture shown is actually a stork spreading its wings. As they move down the Yellow Brick Road into the forest, if you look closely enough, you will see it moving. It can also be seen in the Tin Man's song scene, looming in the background. Simply a bird.

It was actually confirmed a bird by the ADSG. THey proved it by measuring dimesnions in the shadow, and they also measured it by the time the play was taken, due to shadows from the sun

Yeah I read that too, it's a bird.
Like for example, in the movie "Three men and a baby" with Tom Selleck, at one point, you see a little boy in the window outside. At first, people were saying that it was the ghost of a little boy that died in that house a few years ago. But it turned out it was a cardboard cutout from a commercial. Weird.

There is a video of the discontinued version of it on www.ScaryHumor.com. Look up Urban Legend and one of the things should come up that is a video showing it after a bunch of other urban legends. And yes, it is a munchkin.. But see for yourself.

I heard that it was a munchkin. Also, did you know that the original tin man got real sick from the lead paint they used to cover his body?
