My stats: 3.8 w/ 6 APs (including AP Econ online--want to major in econ) , bad SAT--1600, good recommendations and counselor one was great I think, solid essays, extra curricular include: school newspaper editor, indoor track, Keyettes (community service group),community service as translator, and after school program where I tutor hispanic student and teach them English, first in my family to go to college, low income if that helps ?, in va, and of course I am latino.

Being a bilingual latina myself, I can tell you that being a minority can do nothing but good for you. Colleges will definitely consider it.
However, do not depend on it for everything. You have to prove that you are not only a good student being a minority, but a good student regardless of your race. Your minority status can only do so much.
If everything but your SAT is as good as it sounds, it should make up for it. If possible retake your SAT. You sound like a very accomplished, smart person so I'm sure you'll get into a good college. Que te vaya bien!

The SAT won't help you (and is you GPA weighted for the AP courses?), but apply early and try for it. Consider a community college that feeds into UVA as a backup. Also there is George Mason. You can always transfer later if you do really well.

Racial issues is like already over again while slavery used to be outlawed as a result of the hassle of Abraham Lincoln. And I would not say that university may not be given you simply on account that you had one more race, I imply plenty of men and women will begin a rebellion if that occurs

being latino gives you advantage over regular old white kids. i mean who wants to admit a white kid? BORING
