He does not seem fussy, he does drool a lot and loves to put his fingers in his mouth and loves his pacifer too. Just throughout the day he seems to be chewing on nothing? Any advice would be appreciated.

Teething perhaps.
Have you tried giving him something to chew on?
Like a teething ring that's been in the fridge or freezer?
There are a number of teething things.
A wet washcloth that's been in the fridge or freezer works as well....

he may be an teething really early there is no set rule for when children start because everyone is different his teeth may not erupt for a while yet but it might his bodies way of preparing for this to happen as his teeth are forming beneath the gums. although some kids just like the feeling of chewing on everything but just keep an eye out and keep his gums clean by using a damp flannel twice a day once in morning and then again at night before he goes to bed this will also help prevent decay from occurring in his teeth when the do finally erupt hope this helps

teething, teething, teething. My son started at 3 months, got his first teeth (2 at the same time) at 4 months, now has 4 teeth and he's only 7 months. Don't be surprised if he gets a mild fever, or diareha (sp?). The drooling will continue until he's totally done, but will be the worst right before a new one pokes through. If he's not fussy, or acting bothered, then I wouldn't worry about it. But if he starts to "complain", some Infant Tylenol (drops) and TLC are the best treatments. You can try Oragel, or Ambesol, but my son drooled so much that he just drooled that stuff right out. Best of luck to ya!

i've got heard that the gum staying on your equipment for an prolonged time situation is truthfully a fantasy. If it got here approximately to you or me i might probably say do no longer challenge approximately, yet seeing as its a newborn i does no longer prefer to furnish you any suggestion that could desire to probability his well being. in keeping with danger it would be ultimate to make certain a doctor and basically ask in the event that they think of it rather is superb. I remember while i became into little nevertheless there have been young ones who continually swallowed their gum while they finished, I advise every time. and that all of them became out superb, so i does no longer challenge too lots. yet yeah seeing a doctor could desire to settle your fears.

one word: teeth!

My lttle daughter is the same age and does th same. I bought her a nice teething ring, but unfortunately she cannot hold on to it and put it in her mouth by herself in a coordinated way. So I either hold it for her or just let her chew her hands, as they seem to also bring relief and at least she can controll those all by herself already.....

Sounds like he's teething, hun!!! It's early but very possible. My baby is just now 3 mos and is teething. She started to show signs of teething at 10 wks old. Can you believe it!? Ugh. Give him stuff to chew on, stay away from Orajel like stuff and try bibs.

he is probably teething. Try putting your clean finger in his mouth and try to feel for teeth. The first ones to come in are in the front.
