Cenozoic is where its at. Particularly Late Quaternary.

I don't have a favorite. They all have interesting aspects. I guess my interests have been directed toward the archeaen and proterozoic because a lot of interesting changes ocurred way back then. I guess the Devonian is the period that I know best from the standpoint of fossils, simply because I went to school in an area dominated by interesting localities of that age and had a Prof that was a local boy who grew up collecting them and knew great localities to take us on field trips.

Anything Tertiary-big fan of the Eocene and Miocene.

I dunno, I guess just because it was the maximal development of the Paleozoic fauna - a very different world.
