I am already EXACTLY where I want to be...watching my daughter's growing family discover the magic of the season is like being a kid myself again; I get to watch it happen in my grandkids' faces, and that is priceless to me.

I don't want to be someplace else. I want to be right here at home. It is the one day of the year I treat myself and just Relax. We rent movies of all the films we never got to see. I get cheesecake and lots of goodies to eat and light a fire. No muss or fuss. I may not even get dressed. We have our pups and just love hanging out. Yeah I might make a shrimp scampi in the evening., and if not then the next day. I have had enough of that Christmas rush, waste and wear yourselft out stuff. It's so liberating. You will too one day...even if you can't conceive it at the present time. I used to love it...now I wonder why.

I'll be all over the place during Christmas. The living room, the bedroom, the kitchen, probably the bathroom.
There's no place I'd rather be that I can think of. Spending Christmas in an old busted down adobe in the New Mexico mountains with four cats is a lot greater blessing than it might appear to those who haven't done it.
I wouldn't swap places with Bill Gates, but most likely neither would he, with me.

I might like to be in the town where my sisters and brother live I have not been there for a long time for Christmas. I get there for some birthdays and visit for other times. However I am missing them more and more at the holidays. I have to work on these holidays. I think it is time to stop that I am working on these plans. I would also like to be with our daughter and grandchildren. We usually do that next week. It works out better for that. I love being around family and friends. It refreshes me.

We started a tradition when my kids were in college, instead of being stressed out with Christmas, presents, shopping, preparation, etc, we simply took the family to The Bahamas. That was the present. It was wonderful, no muss, no fuss, and we completely enjoyed the holiday with the family. Nothing like laying on the beach Christmas morning in 82 degree weather and spending the entire day with them with no strings!
Now the kids are grown and have "issues" with leaving.....vacation time issues or SO's who don't want to go away. (even if we are paying?!?!?) WTF?
I just want to take the kids to The Bahamas and enjoy Junkanoo!

I used to live where it usually snowed on Christmas. I miss the snow very much around this time of year. I'd love to have a cabin in the mountains where the snow falls. I live in a place where it NEVER used to snow. We moved down from the mountain and have actually had snow the last two years. (Where the snow NEVER used to fall). I'd still love a cabin in the mountains where we can build a snowman who lives for a month or a few weeks at least.

Just my children and me would go to a five star motel suite in Canada (hopefully the couches are stuffed with 100 dollar bills). It would have to be beautifully decorated with a huge tree. Hopefully it would be snowing and the staff would bring us our Christmas dinner cooked to perfection. Since there would be room service my kids could open their presents, play and I won't have to clean. My children and I would go outside and play in the snow, ride the horse and carriage then we would ride around the viewing the city and singing Christmas carols.
That would be a cool Christmas. Instead off being stressed out it would be a relaxing day.

I'd like to be a cedar cabin in the Qzarks with snow and a big fireplace, and while I'm dreaming let's add some good looking romantic single guy to the package as well.

Does it have to be this Christmas------
If I could go back in time - I would go back to Christmas 1971
of course I would have to know then what I know now ----
I would know that it would be my last Christmas with Daddy ---
and I would know that he would be gone in less than 6 months.
I would spend that day and every day until June 7, 1972 telling him how much I love him - and I would be sure and stay home on June 7 so that he would not die alone. As you can probably tell, his death was unexpected and sudden - we went to get groceries and when we came home, he was gone. I was only 12 - I loved him and told him often, but probably not as often as I should have

With my mother, ( am almost a senior "50") she is getting up there in years and we are snowed in, live in the midwest. My kids are coming here today though so we will have a nice Christmas...just miss my Mom.

I have always wanted to be in the Caribbean during Christmas where they have grand light/dancing/music festivals at Christmas. Particularly in St. Martin/Sint Maarten. But my family is HERE so unless I could take them with me, that won't happen anytime soon.
