Birth control Aviane?

I have been taking Aviane, and about a month ago I quit taking it when I ran out of my last packet. I had my period, then had unprotected sex a couple of days after my period was gone. Now, I'm waiting for my period to come, but I just have a bit of pink spotting, a little bit of cramping, but not as bad as usual. I know it is not common to get pregnant before ovulating, but is it possible that I am, or is my period being weird because I quit the pill?

This could be a withdrawal bleed which when it occurs can cause some spotting and bleeding as well as cramping as a result of coming off the pill.

I would recommend checking with your doctor as well after the holiday to see what they say.
