can i get an internal bleeding from going to gym 3months after my appendectomy?? its been more than a month since i went to the gym... and everything seems fine until this guy told me that you should rest for at least half a year, or else you could get an internal bleeding, i was in shock and scared... so, now, its about 4 months since the operation... now im panicking if this slight pain in my stomach is a sign of interntal bleeding... plz help..

(by the way, how long does it take for a person to die from the day of the internal bleeding, at max?)

by the way, my doctor told me after the operation that i could go back to gym after three months, but my friend who also went to an appendectomy was told to go back to gym after 6months, so whom should i follow? by the way, he is fat and i am fit, so i was wondering if weight has something to do with the healing process...

If you were bleeding internally you would see lots of bruising on your torso and you would get weaker and weaker and probably be dead by now to be honest. Your slight pain is probably from an adhesion for your surgery. I would exercise based on your doctor's recommendation, not anyone else's.

There should not be a problem, if your doctor said it was OK. You can expect some pain and stiffness, because those muscles have not been used much lately.

To answer question 2: Depending on the severity of the bleed, it could take a few minutes (ruptured spleen, kidney, liver, aorta) to several days. You would get progressively weaker and show signs of shock.

Bruising is a sign of internal bleeding. After your most recent episode, have a friend examine your body for signs of bruising after you rest for a couple of days. Ensure that you take regular rest breaks, and keep yourself very well hydrated with water.
