Depends on the place. In a Chinese place, I expect to hear Chinese music. In our karaoke place, I expect to hear the latest in our kind of music.

Classical or jazz, but definitely not pop music. I swear I am not pretentious or anything, that is just my taste. Or, even no music at all is fine with me.
