I ask questions and I hardly get any answers. When I first joined, I got tons of great answers to my questions but now is minimal. It seems that the only questions that get lots of answers are the shockers (I'm 12 and I'm pregnant- that sorta thing) What really gives?

I think an awful lot of 'regular' answerers are probably on holiday. That means it's left to the teens to take over.

If your question was worthwhile then many of them will not have understood it.

However, if you post 'Whats your favourite colour' in P&S, watch them squeal with delight as they fall over each other trying to get an answer in.

So, to answer your original question, yes it's in decline, but I'm hoping that it's just a temporary blip.

I'm gonna count the how many 'What did Santa bring you...' questions after Tuesday. It will be a nightmare, lol!

I'm not so sure about YA in general because I have little interest in most of the other categories. But I definitely think P&S is on the decline. Too many trolls and haters, and I can't see that very much is being done about any of it. It's a shame, too, because there are many good people here who are very intelligent, helpful and clever. It used to be a lot of fun. Not so much anymore.

I just check your history, it seems that people are going for more interesting questions true, but you had a lot of answers for some of your questions, just not all of them. For example you wanted to know how many people are joining a gym in the New Year, with the rising gas prices maybe people can't afford to do that this new years, maybe that's why you didn't get as many answers.

Holiday time. Leave your ? up longer. When school's open, the answers should pick up. Saturday nights there seems to be a lot of partyers asking goofy questions. It's OK to re-ask a question if it gets buried or can pertain to more than one category. Patience and persistence will win. Sometimes re-wording a ? will do the trick. Happy Holidays.

No, I do not think that Yahoo Answers is on the decline. I think that it is just a little bit slower as of late, because people are busy with other things during the holiday season.

I don't think that it's on the decline. I just think it matters what category you put your questions in that determines the amount of answers you will get. That's all.
