I got my last period july 26th, and had a positive preg test aug 20th but my son wasnt born until may 13th. He was 6lbs at birth and that was at 42 weeks.
They induced me too. According to a medical person and she thinks I had a incomplete miscarriage and got preg around same time and the ovum got reabsorbed because if he was born at 37 weeks full term he would of only been 3 lbs and she found that odd.
What do you think?

The thoery about the miscarriage is possible! I was talking to my daughter's father's mother... (haha), and she said that by the time she thought she was 4 months pregnant (with my daughter's father of course), she went in for an ultrasound and she was only 2 months. They said that she must have miscarried and gotten repregnant, yet never knew about it.

So I would say it is highly possible..
And yes, 3 lbs is too small for a 37 week pregnancy.. 6 lbs sounds too small for a 42 week pregnancy also.

I would believe that possibility if I were you.

I had a 7lb baby at 39 weeks then a 7 lb baby at 37 weeks and at 35 (almost 36) I had a 6lb 10 oz baby.

I think it just differs. There is really no set weight a baby should be. Most books say at term (37+ weeks) a baby will be between 6 and 9 pounds.

When you put in 7/26 for a lmp...the due date is 5/2...sounds like he was about 42 weeks at birth.

no my last period was June 28 and my due date is April 3. so that sounds right. just a month behind mine. i don't believe the lady that said you had a miscarriage. at 37 weeks 6 lbs is normal weight.

I don't think he'd be so small at 37 weeks. That lady maybe got you confused with someone else. The conception date and birth date sound reasonable.

With my kids my doctor told me that they go from the date of your last period. They take that date minus three months plus a week and that is your due date.

Sounds right to me. I got pregnant in the middle of July and am due April 9th. So if you got pregnant in mid-August, you would be due in mid-may....(which is when you had him). maybe they were just a couple wks off with your due date and you werent actually 42 wk. when you delivered.
