The Man's. He is not usually ready for all that goes with fatherhood. Typically the guy in a newly wed situation continues to be somewhat free even in the new relationship. When the first child arrives his world is completely different. Take me for example; Just got home from the hospital with my new born baby girl and changing her for the first time on her new baby changing station when she began to pee. My new sportshirt and slacks got it good. Then came the lack of sleep. Then all the things to help out. A woman can get away with diaper bags and what not. When a lady at church came up to me and said "It is hard being cool with a drewl rag hanging out of your pocket, isn't it?" I think the transition is much harder on the guy.

After a baby is born the focus is shifted toward the baby by woman but most of the changes take place in man. Firstly more responsibility toward family increases and most commonly he hunts for pleasure outside family domain.

In my case the woman. I take all parental responsibility. He comes by to visit and pays up sometimes. But I'm here day in and day out. I'd like him to have more responsibilities, though I don't know if that'll ever be the case. Your child has to be your #1 priority and our child isn't his #1 right now. For our child's sake I hope that changes.

The woman's. Nothing really changed for my husband, he just had something cute to cuddle with when he wanted to, and he could just hand it off to me when he was done. LOL
