Bingo is my dog and he has been in the family for 16 years. We recently introduced a younger cat, Tiger. When we first took Tiger in, she has been very sweet and playful. We don't mind her playfulness but she constantly keeps running to Bingo, hitting him with her paws, sometimes jumping at him and whacking him in the ear. Bingo doesn't fight back; mainly because his cat chasing days are over.
At first I thought Tiger's tactics were all playful. But with observing them, I feel like she may be jealous.
It seems it becomes Tiger's hobby more and more each day.

What should I do to stop her?

Make sure tiger knows that Bingo is higher in the pack status. Always feed Bingo before tiger. When tiger attacks, remove her and put her into her cage or on a leash and play or pet Bingo.
When tiger is around Bingo and doesn`t attack. Pet her and tell her she is being good after you pet Bingo.
Keep doing this to reinforce good behavior and stop the bad.

Well, like people, animals have natural instincts. We didn';t have a dog with my cat, but neighbors with dogs have come over, and he's had them crying(like a 9 lb cat and a 100lb dog, a Great Dane)...It's just natural to protect their territory. Here's how to try to take it out of the equation....Cats hate water(well, most do), so get a spray bottle, put water in it and every time the cat goes to get the dog, spray the cat...We used that tactic to keep the cats from jumping on the counters and it WORKED....So Just give it a try!!
