condom for you, pill for him. Pills change your hormones making you go nuts (except yasmin, which is pottasium based). go to your general doctor without your parents they can prescibe it without them knowing.

PLEASE use both condoms and the pill. Condoms can break and like you said, are only 85% effective against STD's. You still have a 15% chance of becoming infected. The pill is no better than the condom, but is as effective for a different thing. Meaning, the pill is as effective in preventing pregnancy as the condom is in preventing getting infected with an STD. If the pill isn't taken at the same time everyday, chances of pregnancy will increase. I'm not sure if an adult is needed for you to get birth control pills and the laws vary from state to state. But please be smart about the decision you make. It only takes one time unprotected to ruin the rest of your life. Be careful!!!!

Both. Every single time. You'll sleep better at night.
Head to your local clinic for some birth control counseling, or talk to your parents. Be open and honest.
If you can't get the pills ( and they don't cause breast cancer by the way--the side effects are minimal at most) use a condom and be careful. If you're going to do that be SURE you have access to plan B if it breaks.
Good luck.

There are also different kinds of pills - maybe another type wouldn't make her feel sick. There's the patch, IUD's, & I don't know what else. But until you are ready to have kids, use something. There are also different types of condoms. I heard the natural skin-type one's are the best, plus there's extra thin - you can try those til you find what you two need.

You dont need your parent to go with you to Planned Parenthood. The pill is more effective than the condom if you take it correctly each time. Condoms can break.

Correction - with perfect use of a condom the rate of pregnancy is only 5%, while with typically improper use that rate of security decreases to around 15%. My recommendation to you is that it is better to be safe than sorry! Use both "the pill" and a condom. You should be able to purchase both yourself through a health clinic, drug store, etc.

if you are too young to get birth control on your own then you should not be having sex. that being said if you insist on having sex then i think you should use both the pill and condoms. the pill doesn't protect against std's. you can never be too careful. besides condoms break. you should always have a backup.

I'm underage also, and i know if you go to the gyno they can prescribe you it, and you're parents don't have to know. or you can just tell your parents it's for your period, thats what i do.
but, i would suggest using a condom and the pill.
although the pill messes with your horomones really bad, and can be diffucult to remember [which is why you should also you use a condom]

Why don't you consult your local planned parenthood. They can provide you with all the information and help you decide what birth control method is best for you. It is also a good idea to see an OBGYN after becoming sexually active. A good idea is sitting down with your mom or trusted adult and discussing the issues with them. They can physically take you places and help you.

You should use a condom you need to protect yourself
from STD's your boyfriend could have one now (how
would you know unless he has been tested) or he could
cheat on you and get one in the future.
