Sounds French but who knows, it looks like the M in Michelle was replaced with an N. Haven't heard of it, it's different, sounds pretty.

i think of my cousin.she has the exact same name pronounced the same too.then i think of my other cousin michelle and they are both very pretty.well my cuzo named Nichelle is from Guyiania or w/e its called in South America and we all black.i think its really pretty but kind of common sounding so i wouldn't name my child that.

It reminds me of a couple I went to High school with. They named their first daughter Nichelle.

I like the name..its unique.

that someone is trying to be cute with a traditional French name. pronounced like Michelle, with accent on last syllable, yes?

what's wrong with Michelle? or do you want this person to have spell her name for the rest of her life because people think it's Michelle? or do you plan to use it for a boy?

It sounds like a ghetto/preppy girl kind of name (no offense to any hood sistas!) It really just sounds like Nick and Michelle got married and couldn't decide who to name the kid after. It's unusual and cool, but I never heard of it before.
