You know what?
My friend did too.
We read the book in school and she formed a crush on Jem...I thought it was cute! He was a lovable character. I'm guessing you'll get over it but it's not weird.
Btw I have this problem right now! I am (ugh like almost everyone else has mentioned) in love with................
Edward Anthony Masen Cullen!
from Twilight! He's AWESOME!

I have seen a number movies, where I found one of the female characters admirable, supportive, generally attractive, and highly desirable. I found myself thinking of her great qualities, wishing she was in my life, or at least, someone like her.
There is nothing wrong with having such a fantasy. It may actually be helpful. It may help you identify what qualities are important to you, in a significant other. It may prevent you from settling for someone, not worthy of you.
I often think about "Counselor Troi", the ship's counselor, on "Star Trek Next Generation". I know she is not real. I know she is an actress, who has memorized a script. However, I wish she was. I wish, I could go to her, and tell her my troubles.

It's ok to like someone from the movies or from a book. That's what the author wants... Don't worry about it if you like him you like him sure you may not be able to be with him, because he's quite old now but you can still imagine... And if your friends aren't supportive talk to them and if they still make fun of you then they're not your true friend I'm sure your cousin or family member will understand... I recommend still like him, but just know its not very possible to exactly date him but you can still lvoe him with all your heart DREAM!!!

haha same here
im in love with Edward Anthony Masen Cullen (from the Twilight series)
its ok to have a crush on a fictional character, as long as you arent overly-obsessed and constantly think about the character and stuff like that (its too late for me, lol)
make dont bug your friends about it too much bcuz it might get on their nerves (i would know, trust me)
dont let it take over your life bcuz (sadly) the character isnt real
take your mind off of him somehow and aim for a boyfriend that isnt fictional
i know exactly how you feel and so do many other people
and its ok
just dont let it take over your life

I still have a crush on Pierce Brosnan.... oh, and Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard). And I would love to meet Harrison Ford.
Enjoy. Just don't go stalking anyone.

That's funny! I have never had that happen, although I like to joke and arrange the characters up with someone and make fun of them like they were my buddies. I wish someone was right there reading with me so I am joke with them.

Me too! I have a crush on Mr.Darcy from Pride and Prejudice ...
Don't feel bad about this fact.....
I know it sounds extremely imaginative and kinda crazy, but that does not mean anything..Also, it is not a sign of something that is abnormal.
Everyone of us can have a fictional hero!!!

Actually, as funny as it sounds it can happen. That sort of happened to me cause I kinda wish that Edward Cullen from Twilight were real. OMG. Edward is the ideal boyfriend.
