what is anovulatory bleeding and how can i tell if that is the kind of periods i am having??? thanks so much!

if you have regular cycles the chance that they are anovulatory are low. in a cycle where ovulation is present women will experience some pms symptoms because of the in progesterone like cramping, moodiness, breast tenderness etc. there are two ways to tell if you are ovulating. the first you can do at home by charting your BBT. google this for instructions. the 2nd is a 21 day progesterone blood test.

Anovulatory bleeding would be bleeding without ovulation. I suspect you'd need to test hormone levels to tell which sort you;re getting, but your best bet is to ask your ob/gyn.

It's where you have a period without ovulating.
