Who is ahead in Space Exploration at this time ?

I believe various nations are seeking to explore beyond our planetary atmosphere. With the end of the "Cold War," America and Russia no longer feel the need out do each other. And so, I am curious about who is making the most strides "now" ?

I know a very pro-chinese person at school, and he seems to believe that China is ahead currently.

.......Not that it has any significance, but there is also an Indian that thinks India will get to the moon in 1 year -.-

Hi. America has launched the most exploratory spacecraft so far, but China is catching up.
