Tears
I feel so sad,
my memories are slowly being thrown away.
There's nothing I can do to stop the process
of my slowly dimming confidence.
Without them,
I am nothing.
Today I cry myself to sleep
wishing I could be back in the land of happiness.
Dreaming of the day
I hear their voices again.
Praying for it to be the same.
But, wishes aren't granted,
and sooner or later we all wake up from our dreams.
Prayers aren't always heard.
I guess I'll have to spend another year crying.

Sad.....I don't like sad poems, or poems that don't rhyme. It takes TRUE talent to rhyme. It takes more creativity and thinking. Anyone can make a poem like that. Example:

Dreams are the clouds upon which we float
For if we fall we shall be hurt
Which is why we need them now
So we may have something to fall back against
With all the chaos in the world tripping us as we go

AND I AM ONLY 11! AND I MADE THAT IN LESS THAN A MINUTE! quick thinking, that's what it's called.

It's good. in the sense that a lot of people can relate to this.

I wish poets would try different topics instead of always being depressed about love or something.

The sun rises above the hillcrest,
As does the joy of my heart;
Rays of warmth and love,
From her I will never depart.

Fresh dew upon the grass,
Young birds chirp in their nests;
I watch her gently sleep,
My love to her I silently profess.

I enjoy the stillness and calm,
Watching as she smiles and dreams;
She brings me to stillness and peace,
Like that of a slow flowing stream.

My heart and soul flow with love,
And I smile as I quietly reflect;
I’ve been handed a sweet princess,
A sweet princess to love and to protect.

A vow to myself I make,
As she quietly sleeps away;
To love and always cherish her,
Until my last breath... until my last day

Be more specific. What voices? Why have you been crying? Let the reader see what is going on. It's too general now.

Is every so-called poet on this forum depressed? I've yet to read a poem filled with joy.
