I'd appreciate only serious answers to this. Not joking about
asking for a new car or something out of reach. Many people
will have a poor Christmas this year, and sales are down
nation wide. I heard on the news, they expect more customers
after Christmas, than before.

No special present. Just a hug, and I love you is the best present. Hugs and love to all here on Christmas.

This year we have decided not to exchange gifts. The special present this year will be all the family being together. This may well be the last Christmas that all of us can be together, since my dad's health is rapidly declining. I cannot believe how much better this has been for all of us! No rushing out to try to find the right gift for someone, no battling the traffic and crowds, none of the usual stress. I think this will be the best Christmas I have ever had.

We don't exchange gifts with each other at Christmas. And we don't get gifts from our daughters either. When our eldest had her children we told her to not buy us anything because she is on a very limited budget. Our other daughter is at college and doesn't have a weekend job so she can't afford to buy us anything. As long as we see our grandsons before Christmas (visited them yesterday) and we know our girls and grandsons are healthy and happy that's the biggest gift we could ever have.
We've spent all our married life on a very limited budget and tend to buy little gifts....just because....during the year. We buy gifts for our youngest at home and for the grandsons of course, and we always do up a hamper for the eldest, which contains little treats that she wouldn't normally buy for herself and the boys.

I wanted a new kitchen stove before Christmas, and I got it. We were going to buy one anyway, but my present was to have it in time to cook Christmas dinner on it. I feel really special, a new stove! My old one burned everything I baked in the oven because it didn't heat evenly any more. I guess my family didn't like cinnamon rolls that were burned on one side any more, lol!

For our WHOLE family to be together for a Christmas dinner. If we can pull this off, it will be a big surprise to my parents. I don't plan on letting them in on it just in case it don't happen. We are not going to have our Christmas dinner until next Sunday so that way it will give the rest of the family to spend Christmas with their in laws. I am really hoping that we can ALL pull this off.

i be responsive to what you advise, it rather is an ungainly one. Our family contributors have extraordinary tastes and it rather is complicated attempting to detect something they like devoid of actual asking. So we've compromised. I supply them a collection volume of money to purchase what they want and that they supply the article lower back to me so as that i can wrap it up - such as you, I in basic terms love wrapping provides. yet I additionally upload a wee marvel in, possibly a bottle of wine, candies, bubble bathtub and so on. That way they get something they actual need, i'm getting the excitement of wrapping it up and there is likewise the component of marvel. They get £25 to spend and that i shop the different fiver for the marvel. wish that enables.

A pair of lined leather gloves; perfume; shortie nightie; gift certificates.

BUT the best gift I have rec'd is my daughter giving me her car when she buys a new one in the next two weeks [mine was totaled by the insurance company this week due to the cost of the airbag replacements exceeding the 75% of the value of the car - did you know how expensive they are to replace? WOW]

I am a HUGE Bruce Springsteen fan, seen two of his recent concerts for his new "Magic" CD (which BETTER win the Grammy, it is his best since "Born to Run".) Well, I haven't had enough. For Christmas I asked for tickets to two more of his upcoming shows. There is really nothing else I want.

"Tramps like us baby.......we were born to run!"

I have asked for nothing, just like every year. They always get me something anyway. I am so richly blessed with a wonderful family. What better gift could I ask for?
