Its Mars. Mars has been growing brighter for months, and in December it is at its closest to the Earth.
Its visible most of the time, but most people don't notice unless its particularly bright or close to the moon.

I think it's Mars. Suppose to be very bright tomorrow night. Read your Yahoo! news. That's where I found out it might be Mars. I was wondering the same thing until I read the article.

Mars. and im not exactly sure about this but my local weather man said that christmas night will be teh best night to see it and wont be back for a coupla years. it is rather pretty (i can see it here in kentucky) and im not exactly sure when it will be gone.

mars....mars is in its closest orbit with earth right now and appears as the brightest object in the sky...if you look closely or through a telescope you,ll see a reddish brown color to it
