On A&E at 10pm (and repeated at 2am) is the documentary THE KENNEDY ASSASSINATION - BEYOND CONSPIRACY. I have been answering questions on Yahoo Answers for weeks about the killing of JFK, and have been reccommending this program. If you truly want to know the truth, nothing offers it in a better, more concise, and easy to follow sequence.

When you watch this, I believe you'll be convinced, as I am, as to what happened. Along with the book CASE CLOSED by Gerald Posner, this is definitive in showing that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, was not a patsy, was not part of any conspiracy, and was in the right place at the right time with nthe right idea to do the wrong thing.

Will you let me know what you think after watching?

HISTORY CHANNEL - not A&E

2007-12-23 14:06:26 · update #2

First, "ole man" - we are in agreement that the History Channel doesn't necessarily mean accurate. However, I base my reccommendation on the documentary itself, not the fact that it came from the History Channel. I base it on the validity of the evidence, the logic of the evidence, and the studies I have done (as much as possible) in evaluating that evidence.

However, I disagree that a great case can be made for "whatever" your theory. Sure, you can theorize all day, but I've learned that the conspiracy books make their case by altering evidence that doesn't fit their theory and ignoring facts that contradict it.

I believe the facts are plain - and I believe this documentary shows those facts in a logical manner.

This IS a great documentary. Of course any documentary that actually uses REAL evidence, REAL science, and REAL testimony will always agree that Oswald murdered Kennedy all by himself. The conspiracy nuts have been frantically trying for forty-five years to bolster their glassy-eyed claims and they have yet to produce ONE piece of credible evidence that ANYONE besides Oswald was involved. I have been 100% convinced for thirty years of Oswald's guilt and it is great to see more and more real science agreeing with what I've been teaching in my classrooms for twenty-five years. Of course THE definitive book on the subject is "Reclaiming History" but it takes someone with a real thirst for the truth to get all the way through it. But to ANYONE with a logical mind and an understanding of reality it is clear who killed Kennedy--Lee Harvey Oswald and NO ONE ELSE.

Sorry, I don't get A&E either. Years ago I saw Oliver Stone's film, and a program that analyzed the Zapruder footage, and I can read all 912 pages of The Warren Commision Report now (without having to wait another 6 years), I see there is used copy on sale at Amazon for 70 cents.

Good idea. I don't have a TV so I won't be watching it, but on the other hand I don't doubt the official findings.

Even if I did, it was 40 years ago and it is past. Debating conspiracy theories on it is no more helpful than asking if Leonardo da Vinci was gay.

the history channel is "the" authority on everything ,don't you know.Is that what your basing your entire outlook on?After reading many, many books on the subject, some for, some against, the accepted versions of the assassination,i have come to only the following conclusion;we will never know exactly who killed JFK.A great case can be made for "whatever" your theory.
