Don't waste your time, he is not capable of winning with good reason. He will never help the country as the congress will not be his confidant, and the country will suffer with him as he will attempt to use executive orders when he does not get his way with the congress. This is what George Bush has done, and we have suffered with a war and have lost lives. Try looking at the candidates that have a true chance to win the election and try to understand what they are saying and pick one, there are only a few.

From what I know, Dr. Paul wants to let the free market decide which fuels we will use in the future, alternative fuels like nuclear, propane, sugar based ethanol and wind farms. He has also mentioned hydro-electric vehicles in some of his interviews when asked. He wants government out of the energy business and return the property rights of those energy sources to the property owners, and become an energy independant nation. Similar to his beliefs on the department of education, he wants individuals to make the choices that best suit their needs, not abruptly like a lot of people think, but with a transition most likely his entire presidency, when elected.

And a side note to the poster directly above..you get the government you elect. I'm not saying that you voted for this person or that person, but to expect change through the status quo is truly wishful thinking.

His view on things are very transparent. With is long congressional voting record open to the public it shouldn't be hard for you to find the answer you are looking for.

He wishes to allow drilling in ANWR and on our costs, this combined with incentives and lessening of restrictions to produce alternative fuels, will allow us to be energy independent.
He also supports lifting restrictions on perfectly safe and effective nuclear energy.
He would also reinstill property rights as a guide to solve our environmental crisis as well.

He basically wants to deregulate everything and leave it up to the states.

Also to the first person: that was Dennis Kucinich.

Was he the candidate that said he saw a flying saucer and it was coming to earth to help with the energy problem?

If not try googling his web site.
