wow, tricky question....well, i asked my mom and she saud since it's Jesus's birthday then we should give gifts, and since he's not exactly here to aceppt them we should give them to others to jsut make them hapy. this isnt what christmas is about, but it's nice dont u think? i mean, the presents kinda complete the holiday. u can do without the gifts but u shouldnt unless u have to. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I think that if someone wants to give you a gift on Christmas and you believe in God then accept the gift as an act of kindness. The gift should have nothing to do with your religious beliefs.

I believe in God and also give and get presents. Presents are to symbolize and remind us of the 3 gifts the wisemen brought, thus tying the holiday back to Christ.

Christmas did not start out as a christian holiday, it was pagan. Christmas is about the gift of giving, not just about the religious side. There is two sides to every coin is there not?

Christmas is a hijacked pagan holiday and God is a fictitious being so I am not concerned either way.

the reason why Christan's give presents on Christmas is because the three wise men brought Jesus presents. so if you dont give and get presents then that means your not christian because that's what we do, and getting them dosent make you not Christan, or spoiled. i think Jesus said i know mine and mine know me, so as long as you believe and give presents or not youll get eternal happiness.

Since Christ gave us all the "gift" of eternal life and redemption from our sins, I think it appropriate to share "gifts" with each other as a means of remembering that greatest of gifts. Christ taught us unselfish serving of others. the giving of gifts at Christmas is a way of thinking of others and sharing you means with them.
