most inexpensive way to travel to florida in march?

over spring break i was planning on going to florida to visit friends. my spring break is march 15th-24th so any time between then is good.
i already looked up plane tickets from orbits and some other places and they were mostly around $300. which is a little much.

would amtrak or greyhound be more inexpensive?

I don't where you are trying to fly from or for that matter flying to in Florida, but 300.00 roundtrip is not bad. The longer you wait to purchase your tkts, the more expensive it will be as Florida is saturated in March due to spring break, especially Miami, Ft Lauderdale,Daytona,Destin,Tampa and Jacksonville.

Alot of people also book their hotels as early as Jan/Feb for March travel and this is something else you will nn to consider if you nn accommodations.

of course but question is where are you coming from? Sometimes it is cheaper to drive but def not these days. Also are you comfortable in that setting as it is nowhere near as safe a setting. You are talking one busdriver and the many stops at terminals. I would check Spirit or one of the smaller airlines as sometimes you can get a better deal. Another way is to fly into a non party spot and drive the rest of the way. THey of course jack up the prices of known hot spots!!!!
