Who's gonna sign him? I kinda want the Yanks to sign him, since im a Yankees fan, but the Yanks would give up a lot of young talent if they sign him. As long as Santana isn't in the AL Beast, or in the AL for that matter im glad. BUT WHO IS GONNA SIGN HIM, THESE TALKS HAVE BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS NOW!!

There is nothing going on right now between the Yankees, or Red Sox and the Twins. I would not be surprised to see Santana start the Season with the Twins. With Lariano back he and Santana could be enough to keep the Twins in the mix in 2008. Since Santana does not become a free agent until after the 2008 season the Twins don't have to rush to get a deal done.

According to local news, nothing will happen until after the first of the year.

They are also saying that if the Yanks dont add Ian Kennedy to the deal, he will definately be going to the Redsox. They still arent certain which Redsox deal is the one the Twins like.

As an added wrinkle, they are also saying that the Mariners are showing renewed interest. They signed Carlos Silva who is known to be Santana's best friend on the Twins. It is said they are tossing Brendan Morrow and Adam Jones at the Twins.

I think this will still be awhile.

He's not a free agent. no one can actually sign him. Rumours have been floating around that he'll be traded by the Twins to either the Yanks or Bo Sox for some top young talent, but the two seem to have outbid each other. Take a look at the amount of talent Dan Haren commanded... Johan is five times the pitcher Haren is, but no one is going to want to trade that much talent for Johan. I say he stays in Minnesota until the trade deadline looms upon us.

After all the stress Santana might just bust this season and end up playing for the Long Island Ducks team. Its take alot out of ya.....Call Cashman or write to him if your a Yankees fan, it might help.

I feel the Sox will. Just because they dont care who they trade if Buchols and Ellsberry are in a Sox uniform next year.

The Yankees wont give up Ian Kennedy of Phillip Hughes just like that, which gives the Sox a advantage.

At this point, he is probably not going to be traded until next July...Yanks & Sox gave the Twins there best offers and they did not accept them....The Twins will be offfered considerably less once the season starts....

Can Johan Santana play the guitar nearly as well as Carlos Santana? If he does I'm sure someone will sign him.

So you obviously have no idea what is going on. Nobody can sign him; he is not a free agent. He could only be traded. And nobody knows who may get him. All rumors have died down. If you dont know what your talking about and you curse about stuff you think you do, get out of the baseball section.

ill tell you it wont be the yankees, and if boston isnt willing to change theirpackage offer, it wont be them either, i think it might well be the mariners that get him in the end, but probably not until closer to the season, or maybe after the season starts

I think he walks as a free agent. No one wants to give up young talent anymore. Those are the only guys you can afford nowadays.
