When you say Muslim, you use a giant umbrella to capture all the various forms of the religion. Its like saying, American Mormons are the same as Ukrainian Orthodox cause they are both christian.
Unfortunately, the American education system is not up to par globally. It is geared to produce low income citizens with little foresight. You apparently are proof the aforementioned American system works. Good for you.

For the same reason everyone else comes here to live. We are free, prosperous, and we promote respect for life.
Unlike where most of them may have come from... where things like that are NOT a given.

You are assuming that all Muslims hate the US. This is simply not true. A very small number Islamic Fundamentalists claim to hate the US. These are probably less than 1% of all Muslims worldwide.

I don't think they all do. I've seen more liberals burn flags and say hateful things about the US then American Muslims . Now the libs are really confused. LOL!

You mean middle eaterns, Muslims are like everyone else. Not to be confused with middle easterns, persians, etc.
Middle easterns are the ones who hate us. Muslims are normal, unless there middle eatern. So its more like "If MIDDLE EASTERNS hate the US so much, why do they come to live?".
