I agree with Rosie on this one. You need to find a quilting guild meeting in your own neighborhood. You can get much better tips and ideas from people first hand, plus share patterns and magazines.

I suggest you ask at your local supplier, a quilt specialty store, would probably be better than Michaels. My local JoAnn Fabric store has a wonderful quilting circle.


Edit: If you want a forum, have you tried the Yahoo Groups?

Attending a quilting group in your town would probably be more helpful. Some things are easier to learn by demonstration than by description.
