Gosh, I believed in Santa til I was 7 or so... but even once I stopped I didn't tell my parents because I was afraid I'd stop getting gifts! Haha.

I remember kids at school talking about it, and I guess I just figured it out. I don't remember anyone telling me that he wasn't real.

I think once you know, a lot of the magic of Christmas goes out of it. I suppose it's not really about that anyway, but it's so magical when you're a kid... and now it's just a hectic time of trying to find gifts and make sure everything is perfect for company. Makes me sad I grew up.

I thought the whole Santa thing was so great. We lived in the south suburbs so my mom took my on a long car ride to the train station then a train ride to the department store where Santa visited city children. It was cold and snowy so you know I thought I really went to the north pole! It was so much fun to awaken each Christmas to see if the things I wished and hoped for were under the tree where there had been nothing the night before. They let me believe as long as I wanted so I had a number of fun Christmas mornings. I found out after so many kids kept saying there was no such thing. It was a lot of fun.

I think its so sad not to have believed in Santa when you are a child. I'm in my 40s now, but I remember the effort my Mom made to bring Santa to life for me. One Christmas Eve, my family left to go to dinner at relatives house. When we left the tree was up, but not decorated. When we came back, the tree was decorated and presents where under the tree. Needless to say the only way that could be was if Santa came. I didn't find out until a few years ago how she did it. I will always remember that Christmas as the best ever

I found out when I was 7. My mom had left xmas gifts on the bed in her bedroom, then told my sister and I to put all the laundry away. She had forgotten that the toys were in plain view in her room. I saw that there was a Barbie in the bag, and I did not have one yet. My sister had one, so I figured it had to be for me. I was excited beyond belief for 3 days.
My mom gave my sister the Barbie on xmas morning. That's when I knew that there was no Santa. In the worst way in the world. Around noon she had my sister give me the Barbie doll, but every time I looked at it for years, I remember being betrayed, Shamed, hurt and disappointed every time I looked at it.

I hate Santa.

I believed there was rly a Santa until i was 5 or 6(can't remember) and went to the mall, only to discover a fatman in Santa's clothes with a fake beard hanging off his chin. ALL the presents were tagged FROM: SANTA my whole childhood and i believed he did come and gave us all the presents. Eventually after the incident at the mall, i thought it was kinda silly how a fatman can fit his @ss through the chimney, give the perfect presents to everyone, do it in only one night and remember every little kids' names!

There is a SANTA,never give up on believing,it is a magical time,it is part of the whole essence of childhood belief.
What do you think if a young person reads that there is no Santa?/(if young ones ARE reading this SANTA IS REAL),I would hate to think my Grandchildren did not believe.
JESUS and SANTA LIVE today and forever.

i was in elementary school when i figured out the hoax.
I finally figured out that my santa's penmanship looked an awful lot like mom's. lol
Then there was the one year that me and my sis got scooters. I had seen them hidden under my mom's bed and then they appeared under the tree "From Santa". My mom tried to lie and say santa had asked her to wrap them for her, but too late, i knew the truth. Besides, isnt that what elves are for?? lol

I honestly do wish santa was real though. I miss believing in him because they were such good memories. It'd be great if there really was a jolly fat man who was selfless enough to go around giving presents to everyone. And he can go around the world in the space of one night with flying reindeer?? it'd be amazing if it was true.

I still set out a plate of cookies and a glass of milk every year.

well lets see, i stop believing maybe when i was 7? im not sure but i just thought of it i guess. no one told me. one day in the car i asked my mom why there are poor people, becuase wouldnt santa make them un poor. and i guess when i asked that it kind of clicked for me. and i had to ask my mom more than once becuase she didnt give me an answer, but then she finally came out and told me i was right.

But lets just say as i found out less and less presents came =P
not that im greedy but i noticed that!

but my friend was telling me that her parents still buy presents that say from santa even tho everyone in there house doenst believe in santa, which i think is cute.
