DON'T use gorilla glue.. it foams up and goes where you don't want it. I have fixed lots of jewelry with superglue, also 2part epoxy works too, but has a longer drying time. It only takes super glue a few minutes to "fix", but don't saturate the piece. Also, I have never had superglue leave white film unless it got wet, like with water. Use it as it says. Good luck

Use metal or jewelry glue. Krazy glue also makes one for jewelry. Try roughing up the post and the back of the gems, beads with an old nail file(metal one would be better, but any at this point would do)and then glue them together. Sometimes two slick surfaces just don't bond. Super glue is pretty quick drying unless you glob a whole lot of it on. A little should do the trick. You might be able to get away with using a hot glue gun too.

Hi Sarah,

I highly recommend Zap-A-Cap CA+ made by Pacer Technology. I have used this glue with great success, as it is one of the very few that fill gaps and holds a bond, even with plated metals.

I have used it to attach a sterling silver bail to a jasper cabochon, glued beads at the end of memory wire and a multitude of other beading projects. It works the same as Crazy Glue - only 1000x better! You should be able to find it through either Fire Mountain Gems or other reputable bead shops or online companies and it's quite affordable.

I've been beading for about 4 years now and have quite a collection of various glues, most of which have been tried and did not hold up.

Feel free to ask any questions. Good Luck!

The problem with super glue is it will eat through string.

I haven't had much luck using super glue with metal. I usually use E6000.

It sounds like nail polish remover is good but to on the safe side call a local jeweler and make sure what to use on your jewelry
