We don't have an EARP we have something called Age Concern , a charity I believe. And of course the NHS for free healthcare.

A=American A=Association of R-retired
P=persons or people.
They are a front group that acts like they want to help Seniors, but in reality, they are using Seniors just to sell more health/car/life/??? insurance and they have a powerful lobby in Washington that makes laws to benefit???who? AA RP.

American Association of Retired People, a large membership group of those over 50 who may or may not be retired. It focuses on issues as we age and offers publications, services and advice on everything concerning life after 50. Do you have an EARP? and I don;t mean Wyatt!

After reading some of the answers AARP sounds like a mixture of our Age Concern plus SAGA.

In the US it is the American Association for Retired People. If you are a member you can get discounts on different things and they also keep you abreast of wants going on in the government. You have to be 50 or older to join.

Being English is ok with me, we lived in Suffolk for 3 years when my husband was in the USAF. American Association of Retired Persons. If you join you can get travel discounts, they let you know about insurance information, and medical info also.

I agree with the facts in the above answers. You do not have to be a member to log onto their web-site AARP.com, and use their resources. However, you must be a member to avail yourself of the AARP discount programs and services.

It is for retired people over the age of 50 and also a health care provider for people over the age also and a medical report of all new drugs and meds.

In Canada it is Carp~~Canadian Association for Retired Persons.
They give info, discounts and help people who are retired.
