What is the question?

Training for this type of job is straight forward. There should be an easy checklist provided to them for different types of transactions on a register. You know, accepting checks (limits without a supervisor), credit, debit, cash...etc. Other job responsabilites is a major item too. What are they expected to do while not ringing up customers. Hanging signs, repricing, setting up clearance racks, cleaning, etc.

All this can be set up in an easy to follow binder at each register.

Follow the Instructional System Design Process.

A possible training approach is to bring one "key" salesclerk to a central training location. Train them and then have them train the salesclerks at their location. (Train the Trainer technique.)
