Call the Admissions Office (or whatever office you've sent your app to) and tell them that you would like to change which semester you're applying for.
An e-mail might be helpful too. You can probably find the appropriate contact on the department's website.

I'd call the university's admissions office & clarify the mistake. They should be able to help you, & I doubt it'll be a major problem.

It depends on how you applied. Online, a mail-in app or what?
You can call the student registration office and correct it.

I would call and explain the error, and ask them if that would cause any problem. Assuming you are accepted, WHEN you start your studies should not make any difference.

Wait and see if you get in. If you do, ask them to defer your admission for one semester.
