Don't worry too much about the price, because there are lots of cupons & other freebes in Vegas.
My friend go to a buffet every week,& here are some good pointers 1. Look the whole buffet over(before you take any food) 2. If you are watching calories, then only take stuff from the salad bar & some soup & maybe some chicken .3 You don;t have to take a little of everything & then have an overflowing plate & walk out of there overly stuffed. Buffets can actually be good for diets if you make them that way.4 Watch out for the dessert bar if you are on a diet. Jello or maybe some fruit or pudding would be okay. Just tell your parents that you want too eat healthy, since really there is a lot there to do so. Good Luck!

No you are not wasting any money. It is gross to overeat just because they let you. The prices at buffets do not exceed the price of a meal at most other restaurants so how can you waste money? You can , however, become greedy but that will only make you fat and unhealthy. Just eat as much as you need to feel full without overdoing it. Try to enjoy yourself too!!!

I think you better tell them that you dont want to eat too much. Its sort of a waste of money too for them. So maybe they can try to consider eating at a non-buffet restaurant.
For me, if we are going buffet, I really starve myself (just drink water about few hours before the dining time) so that I can splurge on the food and really maximize what I paid for =)

Salad. The salad parts of the buffets are great.

Any restaurant that has buffets are banking on the fact that people will eat normally, not overstuff. And people generally do eat normally.

Just eat a little of the really expensive and good food, like shrimp and crab legs. They won't make you gain too much weight and your parents will get their moneys worth.

Why would you want to only have water. You can have a well balanced meal. Just cuz you go to a buffet don't mean you have to "overeat".

No your not. It's how you feel. Some people go up there 3 or 4 times. some only once. It depends what you put on your plate

Just eat sensibly, no need to overeat and since you are trying to diet skip the desert bar.
