what is the best distortion pedal for metal and heavy metal?

i have the Marshall MG100HDFX/MG412 Slant Cab Half Stack and i need more distortion..wich pedal is good

too much distortion is gonna make your sound muddy... that amp sounds fine to me ..... i use it for the metallica songs and sabbath songs..it sounds fine....
