This is one hell of a good question. I was brought up to believe that men were more aggressive. This was supposedly caused mainly by testosterone but with the added complications of the 'male ego', male stupidity, and a chimp-like territoriality. I was also told that if women ran the world it would be a more peaceful place. I must be an idiot, because I believed all of this sexist nonsense.

Who is more aggressive? I wouldn't like to say. It might depend on which type of aggression you mean:
verbal
indirect/backstabbing
passive aggression
physical...

What I will observe is that I think women are becoming more physically aggressive. I was shocked when I found out about how widespread domestic violence against men is (about equal in frequency to women) but these days there are actual girl gangs i.e. ones that will rob you and beat you up (this nearly happened to me recently). This is something new to me, and I wouldn't call it social progress, liberation, or anything other than a selfish generation with a rampant sense of entitlement. So in one sense I think girls/women are getting more aggressive, but only compared to how they were pre-feminism.

Generally men are more aggressive but you do get aggressive women too. It really depends on the individual.

I think that it depends on the person. There are both aggressive men and women you could generalize that! I can be quite aggressive sometimes! :)

I think it all depends in which way your looking at it. There are plenty of aggressive females like my self, but im only aggressive in hockey and some aspects of my life, in other aspects im very laid back. Some people may say men, but in my experince I think its women!

lols, I think both are pretty aggressive especially from what I see around me. TV always seem to show men as being the aggressive ones--but real life is different--sometimes.

I think it totally depends on the person. For example, I'm far more agressive personality wise than a lot of my male friends. I'm not so physically aggressive though....

Men are more physically aggressive due to their biological make-up; sorry, radical women, it is not a social construct. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?db=pubmed&uid=17201505&cmd=showdetailview&indexed=google.

Men's higher physical aggressiveness and greater strength is why they are better suited for front-line and hand-hand combat. CASE CLOSED.

Typically, society would agree that it is men. On the other hand - I'm far more aggressive than my hubby. :D
