He did very well following exactly the same words he has used for 20 odd years. Tim Russert didn't understand half the questions let alone the answers. Russert should take a corse on the Constitution.
The concepts he puts forth are those of the Founders and are sourced within the Constitution. Returning to our Constitution is the only way to save our individual rights.

I have mixed feelings about Ron Paul. But, he might be a good choice because he would stir things up. He definitely wouldn't get his agenda passed because the House and Senate will dig in to protect their turf. It would be an interesting presidency to watch. I'd vote for him over any democrap thats running!

I never thought I'd say this but I think he makes George W. Bush look good. I watched a re-air of the Meet The Press interview today. I know that he's got a lot of supporters but I'm sorry, I think he's scary. I don't see too many homeowners voting for Ron Paul knowing that he wants to get rid of income tax where they can't deduct their mortgage. His national sales tax will destroy the poor and elderly. The poor will end up spending more in taxes a year on a national sales tax than they currently pay in income tax. Remember Hoovervilles? If he's elected there will be Paulvilles populated by the poor and the elderly with no or low incomes. Right now he's waffling about his past stands on various topics. He definitely isn't a republican but probably closer to a party from the 1770's, like a Federalist or something. He's contradictory, scary and despicable!

When Dr. Paul wasn't being badgered by Tim, he spoke well. No candidate is perfect and Dr. Paul could use some speaking lessons, but I agree with what he says and what he stands for - the U.S. Constitution.
Ron Paul is not pretentious. He speaks the truth and will always fight for freedom for every U.S. citizen.

Paul did very good, and Russert did try his best in smearing Ron. And Russert had a hard time to get dirt on Ron, but it was the opposite thing. This had to be one of the best interviews where he was not only in defending himself, but came out with simple answers that any real republican and real conservative can understand. It was pretty fair. And I'm glad there's someone who stands with and defends the Constitution.

He didnt do well at all...
He wraps himself in the Constitution, but no one can seem to name to me one law he has STOPPED by objecting to it on Constitutional grounds.
He kind of reminds me of Ross Perot's running mate.. Admiral Stockdale.
He doesnt know what he's doing, and he's most definitely lost in a sea of sharks.
I certainly wont vote for him come primary time in our state. His kookiness scares the bejeebers out of me. I dont want someone like that with their finger potentially on the Nuclear Button....

As usual, he doesn't know how to deal with it. He is too off base, and caught in a cloud of Federalist propaganda for todays society. If his heart were in the right place, and not anxious to please a certain few who hate so many in the country, he would have had a chance in this race. Now, it is too late.
