ABSOLUTELY NOT! a betta is a small, rather gentle (except with other males) fish that is small and has very long elegant fins, that are easily ripped. a jack dempsy gets to be about a foot long, and has quite an attitude. at the very least, it would shred your poor bettas fins and harass it to death, if not eat it outright.

Wow. You want to put up an Aquarium Arena...
THAT WOULD BE JUST NICE!!!
It might be just as like a gladiatorial fight with the Betta as the Samnite Gladiator and the Jack Dempsey as the Super Wild Lion... as I picture it.

WHO WILL WIN!!!

i would not do any of those mixtures. i might locate an empty jar or bowl and use that for the non everlasting betta barracks. Betta will probably attack the infant mollies and fantail goldfish, and mollies could additionally nip at betta. Jack Dempsey is particular to attack betta.

My Jack dempsys leave my minnows alone, if given enough space, the JD's will leave smaller fish alone. They mostly eat veggies from what I can tell.

Only if you want to give your JD a $3 treat... The JD would shred it almost immediately...
