I know it wasn't one of the choices but I just saw it tonight...
Out of your list, Slater seemed slightly more convincing than Williams (I didn't see the Notebook).
Divine Comedy...

The REAL LIFE one I'm currently experiencing! Since the death of our 2 year old child in 2003, followed by divorce (in a very real sense, a death as well), and now in a fight with my ex (in court) to get regular visitation with our other children (I didn't see them for 19 months!), believe me, there is NOTHING that Hollywood or any novelist can come up with that even BEGINS to compare with the LIVING NIGHTMARE I'm currently in!!! Christmas ALONE!!! Again! What a sucky deal!!!

Romeo and Juliet....Those stupid kids! One thinks the other is dead so suicide ensues...then the other wakes up and suicide ensues....all that's left is families deciding what empty casserole dish goes where....This is a good time for masking tape and a marker!
