Oh giving for sure. The look on the person's face when they see what you've gotten them, totally worth whatever you had to spend and the time put into choosing the right gift.

Honestly I rather give time to actually see what I am giving in action. Giving really does give you a feeling of satisfaction. Getting is much more temporary and it makes you feel good someone was thinking about you. I like getting that gift that is like perfect or getting the perfect gift. The actual gift is not as important as the thought. However I would not want any, old gift unless it was from the heart. I rather have a four year old make a craft then a gift card.

Definitely giving more than getting.
Though giving myself a gift is pretty good, too.

at church last night, the priest said " it is always harder accepting things than giving things. giving is the easy part, but nobody ever wants to accept things. receiving compliments and things are hard to receive because you like giving, many people do "
and the priest was right.. if you get 50 gifts, and the people around you get none is it really fun? i mean.. the joy of christmas is from being around happy, and joyfull people!

Getting gifts! Don't think I'm selfish or anything but after all that hard work shopping for everybody it's nice to get somthing back!!!

I prefer to give gifts than get them and it embarrasses me when someone gets so excited when they get one unexpected. I surprised one person and I got a big hug.
