For anyone who plays RuneScape what is the best armor to wear when attacking with magic. I noticed whenever I put on metal armor my magic attacks go down 5 or 6 hitpoints.

I'm not a member and if you could give me some I'd appreciate it. Keep in mind I'm kind of new (level 22 magic, 17 defense)

The first 3 answers are all members stuff.
For non members the best you can get is the blue wizards. Its got barely any defense but it does boost your spellcasting instead of droping it like other armors. If you want something fancy you can get it in (t) or (g). That dosen't change the stats but it does look more interesting.
As for where to get it. Kill blue wizards at the wizards tower south of dreynor. For the (t) or (g) you'll have to find a member selling it ( check the grand exchange).

I'm an experienced mage and I honestly like Ahrims the best. But, I really wouldn't use it if you were fighting a low leveled monster because that would be a waste! Ahrims should be used for high leveled monster. But if you were going to the Wilderness I guess you could bring it if you were really sure you would not lose it or even if you had multiples. I'm ,honestly, really picky with my mage armor because there is different mage armors meant for different things. But if you are a sprouting mage then stick to the basics and what it says you can wear in the Mage Guide. But don't wear melee or range items because it will lower your chances of winning a battle.

3rd age mage set is the best mage attack bonus you can get but that costs alot of gold. The best for the price is likely blue mage robes sold in the magic guild for around 200k. If you have 70def/mage i'd go with Arhims.
