It's horrible but I think exposure to porn at a young age is going to be part of growing up from now on. And to think I found my mother's lingerie catalogue incredibly risque. If I had a teenage son I'd be hoping that at least he was looking at less unpleasant porn where attitudes towards women aren't despicable. I think that is probably the best you can hope for. It seems a bit much to take the computer from him, Teenagers have a very high sex drive, are very determined so perhaps a blocker would be circumvented. It's worth a try though. I think an essential thing, whatever happens, is to teach him to respect women.

Well, first off...

Looking at porn is NATURAL and if he doesn't get "porn" from the internet then he will just buy a People Mag with pictures of Jessica Alba at the beach and do the SAME EXACT THING using THAT picture that he would with Internet porn.

He is 16 and will be playing "Hand Ball" 3 or 4 times a day even if you were to take away his Computer, TV, Mag's, and even lock him in an empty room!

You need to calm down and remember that he is MALE and therefore there is no way to stop his sex drive without the surgacal removal of his "naughty bits".

But to answer your question...

The best way would be to keep the computer in the living room right out in the middle of where everyone is always sitting, hanging out, or walking though...

But you can't keep him "innocent" forever...

Yeah, there are filters that can be installed to block such sites from being viewed. They use them at public schools. They might be able to recommend a good one or you could just google software. That might be better because there could be a feature to enter a password in case you need to get through the firewall.
If you know what sites need to be blocked...try this free way...

Take the computer away from the kid. Explain that it is unexceptable in your house. When they learn to be respectable to your wishes, then he or she may have back the computer. Then you can block the the porn sites. The punishment comes first!! Good luck.

You can get software which monitors what sites your kid goes on, it blocks inappropriate websites too. You could put the computer in an open place in your house, they'll be too embarrassed to go on porn sites.
Sit them down and have a chat about it.
Remember it's normal for teenagers to be curious with sex though.

There parental programs that forbid him from logging onto porn sites or sites with objectionable content, You can also try placing the Computer in a public area such as the family room.

Why are parents so afraid to lay down the law in their own homes? By trying to 'outsmart' him with varying computer controls, you are showing him that he has about as much clout as you do. Simply grab the whippersnapper by the collar and tell him in no uncertain terms that it is not allowed in YOUR house. Who cares if he gets angry or doesn't 'like' you for awhile? If you love him, show him who is boss in that household.

Block it. Put the computer in the living room where everyone can see what he's looking at. When you leave and they're home alone, take the cord.

All of that is pretty harsh really...except blocking it.
