WOAH! dude, I can tell you right now, that a redtail catfish is totally inappropriate for your tank, because I highly doubt you or anyone remotely normal has one even almost big enough. they require a bare minimum of 1500 gallons, will eat everything (including your oscar). on another note, you should not be feeding feeder fish in the first place. they are loaded with fat, sometimes also with parasites. but dude, you have to find that rtc a new home. they get far too big for any home aquarium.

ok, to tide your fish over, try hikari cichlid gold and for the rtc, hikari massivore delite (yes its spelled like that)

however, do not expect your fish to eat today, they are shocked and not yet adjested id guess. just remember, NEW HOME FOR RTC!

They are probably "shockey" from the move. Don't worry about feeding they can both go for months without food. If your tank is a new set up you need to learn about de-chlorinating your water, cycling your tank, testing for ammonia and Nitrites, and how to get your fish into a safe and clean well cycled tank, or all of the food in the World won't help them. CLEAN WATER---CYCLED TANK--then worry about what they will eat. You will also learn that the 55 gallon tank is large enough for the Oscar, but the Red-tail will out grow the tank rapidly when it starts eating.

If it is really a red tail catfish, keep it alone in a 300 gallon tank. The oscar will be O.K. in a 55 gallon,75 or 100 would be much better though.

If you just got them today, leave all the lights off,and do not try to feed them until tomorrow. The stress of being moved will kill their appetite.

If you don't have enough water for these fish, start calling pet stores to see if they will take them.

edit:do not give them feeders anyway, get pellets, feeders will kill both of them eventually.

For the Catfish you need to get some sinking food and for the Oscar you might try some floating food.
If the fish are not eating you might need to call a fish store like Pets-Mart or Pet-Co.
Good Luck!!

they may not be hungry. and they may just not be very active fish. if they don't eat in 2 or 4 more days then you should be worried. maybe change to a different brand or type of food.
