Model years 1943 and 1944 were not produced. A limited number of model year 1945 vehicles were made, with full production resumed with model year 1946.

Auto manufacturers did manufacture autos during WW2. But they were not for sale to the general public.They did not go in for the cosmetic design changes that are a trademark in the industry, but concentrated instead on sturdy, durable vehicles. Autos and other transportation vehicles were made solely for the military and for a few special people, such as the president.

To my knowledge it was 1943, 1944, and 1945, there were a small number made in 1942....I know a fellow who has a 1942 ford.
