My husband likes the name Abigail because he likes the nickname Abby. I don't like Abigail. Are there any other names that would go with the nickname Abby? I said Aubrey, but he doesn't think so. Also I am not too sure about Abby because of "dear Abby" column.

I'm not fond of the name Abigail either but If you really like Abby you can use Gabriel and still call her Abby.

Abner, Auburn, Aba, Abelia, Abheya, Abilene, Abra, Abri, Abrianna, Aubriana, Abria, Abrielle, Abriella, or Abrille.

Or you could just call her Abby/Abbey/Abbie.

We had the same issue- we didn't like Abigail, but we liked Abby. We decided to go with Ariana, instead.

Who says you can't call her Abby regardless of what her given name is? Then again you could give her a first name that starts with "A" and a middle name that starts with "B", using the initials to justify "AB"by.
