Society does not cause people to commit suicide, murder, theft or any thing else. People's reaction to and perception of the reality we exist in influences our individual decisions.

The major cause for suicide is chronic depression who had never been treated medicaly . And I would say the second cause is a terrible chilhood

Isolation, Getting picked on and made fun of by most people, Social rejection, and social failure in the individuals eyes.

I would say the pressure to be pretty, popular, and successful. Look how the media shoves beauty and success down our throats at every turn. It's like the average person does not count to them. I can see where someone with low self-esteem might take this to heart.
