That's sold as a 125 gallon tank, (though the actual conversion comes out to about 130 gallons)...

Length x Width x Height (all in inches) divided by 231 = gallons capacity

72" x 18" x 23" = 29808
29808 divided by 231 = 129.03 gallons (or roughly 129 GALLON)

This is if the tank is filled to the brim with water. I'd say approximately 125 GALLONS after subtracting water being displaced by your gravel, decors, etc. and the 1 to 2 inch space we leave on the top (we don't fill our tank all the way).

you got
129.06864
Multiply the three measurements. I got my small calculator and carefully entered 18 x 12 x 12 = 2592 cubic inches. Then multiply that number by 0.00433 to convert from cubic inches to gallons. I got 11.2 gallons of water in my aquarium.

138 gallons, but if you measured from the outside it will be somewhat less than that because of the glass thickness.

Convert inches to centimeters, then multiply hxwxl to find volume. cubic centimeters = milliliters for water. Convert millilters to gallons.

Let's round that to 6'x1.5'x2' just for simplification.
Which translates into 18.5 cu ft. or 185 gals.
