I see programs talking negative about the catholics. I know what they talk is a fact. What about the good things about the Catholic history and so on...?

well there are plenty of positives: the teachings of compassion, the 10 commandments really, that gave people guidelines to live a moral life.

How about the fourth century custom of exposing unwanted children?

At the time, if someone had a child that they didn't want or couldn't support, they'd leave it out exposed to the elements, so that the baby would be either picked up by someone who'd take care of it, die of exposure, or be killed by animals.

Constantine banned the practice, and turned responsibility for abandoned children over to the local bishop. From that time on, the Church was in the orphanage business.
