What's the best way to clean a coffee maker that I haven't used in a year?

I've heard run vinegar through it. Also,baking soda.

Run vinegar through the coffee making cycle. Then run clear water through at least twice.

yes, run white vinegar thru it a couple of times, then plain water a couple of times. If it smell, run vinegar thru for a few seconds, unplug and let the vinegar sit for an hour or so. Then continue.

vinigar and water or try bleach just make sure you rinse it well.
