I found out at 18 weeks exactly. That is the earliest that my doctor's office would do my level II ultrasound. I am getting a 3D one at the end of January but I heard you can get them as early as 14 weeks and they are accurate but I would still wait just to be sure.

They can find out quite early, for instance by amniocentesis or ultrasound scans sometime in the second trimester, but in the city i live in they have a policy of not telling anyone because they are concerned that there will be terminations as a result of the knowledge. Therefore, the first either of us knew was when they were both born, although it did confirm the ancient Egyptian method we'd used early in the first trimester.

the earliest you can find out would be about 16 weeks. I found out at my 20 week ultrasound.

I found out my baby's gender when he was born. I believe that they can do an ultrasound around the 18th or 22nd week and determine the sex, that is if the baby is cooperating and not turned over or crossing its legs.
When I was doing my practicum in the hospital, an older lady who was a patient asked me if I was going to find out the sex and I said no, she told me "good for you. It's one of the only true suprises that God gives you, so don't ruin it"... just thought I'd say that.

They can find the gender at 5 months. [20 weeks] It is very accurate as well. If you go any earlier there is a higher risk of being told the wrong gender. We wouldnt want that now would we? Hope I could help =]

At the 20 week ultrasound for both kids. I like knowing ahead of time; helps me prepare. Plus I don't like surprises!
Some people have an 18 week ultrasound but much earlier and you can't tell as accurately.

I haven't found out yet but they usually can tell sometime between 16-19 weeks. Sometimes the baby won't open his/her legs and they won't be able to tell for sure so you might have to wait longer.

I'm planning on having the ultra sound tech write the sex on a piece of paper and seal it in an envelope. Then my husband and I can open it over a romantic dinner together.

The parts are all developed at 14 weeks but you won't be told until after 18-20 weeks when it's easier to tell for sure

Well, around 4 months is when they do an ultrasound, but they can do an amnio much earlier, but they usually won't, because 1 in 200 women miscarry.....if you are pregnant, definitely wait for the ultra sound
