My boyfriends been working alot and its just us living here, no one ever really comes over or anything and We'll be going over to his parents house for christmas so he says why bother pulling it all out and putting it up for a week then taking it down again. I personally think we should still put it up. but i know i'll be doing it all by myself, do you think i should still put it up?

Better late than never.
Do it for your self.
And leave it up for as long as you want. It is your home.

Go out and get a little branch or something, and decorate that. It'll be quick and easy, and bring a little Christmas into the house. Then it'll be super-easy to clean up.

Another option would be to decorate a houseplant. Since you have a new house, you could get a golden crest (Christmassy) or a ficus (not Christmassy, but very cute with fairy lights).

However, if you really want to go the whole nine yards, do it. It IS worth it, even for a couple of days, if that's what your heart is yearning for. Just give yourself a break this year. Don't try to put up the tree, make Christmas cookies, decorate the whole house, AND fix a mini-feast the day before Christmas. Choose one really Christmassy activity, and make the most of it.

There's nothing like watching Christmas DVDs with the tree lights going, though.

Yeah, go do it now! Then pamper yourself a little!

Though it seems late, I also just put the the tree up about 4 days ago. If you would enjoy putting the tree up then go ahead even if you are doing it by yourself. If you wanted putting the tree to be a tradition and your boyfriend won't be around to help you then you may as well wait for the next year. You also don't have to take the tree down right away you could leave it up two weeks then it would be worth it.

So many people I have spoken to this Christmas did not put up a Christmas tree this year. With our busy work schedules and families sometimes the tree just becomes one more stress. If it eases your stress don't put it up it's OK. If it causes you additional stress by not having a tree this year go ahead and put it up. There is no law that says you have to take it down by New Year's Day, leave it up another week or two - that's OK too!

Merry Christmas!

Yes, I live by myself and this year I put my tree up on the 6th when I intended on doing on the 15th which is good or else I would never have had time to get everything I needed to for my two best friends that as far as we are concerned are my family. My two best friends that I have celebrated christmas with already put up a tree for the first time in years and they are both going to be gone for christmas to their respective families. But go ahead and put it up if only for 2-5 days, it will get you feeling really christmassy!

Do what you want and make yourself happy. This is a very blue time of the year. You'll have a great time putting it up even if you do it alone. Of course you will leave it up till at least New Years day so you will have plenty of time to enjoy it. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

If you will enjoy it and don't mind spending the time please put the tree up. Last year was the first year we didn't put up a tree I was too freaking busy. This year I pulled out garlands and lights and decorated even though we don't have a tree and it just feels good and brings back good memories.

Yes put up your Christmas tree.
The good feelings from looking at it each time you see it brings the spirit of Christmas alive. You can leave it up as long as you like. Blessings to you and your loved ones this Christmas season.
Enjoy the feelings of Christmas.
